Outfit: Navy, Gray & Black

It’s finally December and it’s still warm outside, well cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons. So I wanted to put together a kind of transitional outfit for this crazy weather we are having. To transition this look to the afternoon, just switch the boots for some comfy flats and lose the vest. This is one my favorite outfit combinations for fall, a long vest over a top with leggings and boots. I’m going to be honest the top is not as long as I would like, but I loved the color combination of the navy plaid with the gray vest. Like most of my looks this one is very simple, easy, and a perfect casual fall outfit. ๐Ÿ™‚

Outfit: Cheetah Print

Nothing like a little cheetah print to lighten your day. Just got this sweater as an early birthday gift and I jumped at the chance to feature it in a blog post. Being that I live in central Texas my sweater collection is quite sparse, so this was a perfect addition to my wardrobe. Cheetah print is always a great way to add a little pattern to an outfit but still acts as a neutral. You can easily add a pop of color to the look to make it more interesting. I kept it real simple by adding a scarf and my much loved black boots and black Stella & Dot tote. Now all I hope for is that the colder weather would stick around for a while.

Outfit: Finally Boot Weather

I’m kicking out the start of a brand new week with a casual outfit of the day. Casual and comfortable I might add. I bought this navy jacket almost a month ago and I am just now getting around to wearing it. It’s finally cooling down here in central Texas, so I am ready to bust out my fall/winter wardrobe that’s been hiding in the back of my closet.

So for this look I paired this jacket with my favorite pair of ripped skinny jeans, a white tee, and some comfy grey boots. Keeping things neutral, I added silver jewelry to go with the cool tones in this outfit. I have to say I am completely obsessed with this jacket. It fits well, it’s flattering, and it’s light weight. I can tell I’ll be wearing this one a lot this season. ๐Ÿ˜‰ To shop this look, check out the links below.

Outfit: Army Green + Floral Print

Happy Tuesday!! This has been one crazy week so far and it’s only Tuesday!! Right now everyone is sick in our household and we are trying to get back to normal from this crazy weekend. Still in shock over the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, and sending out many prayers for all those effected. I’m putting in a link here for the Red Cross if you are interested in donating to help those who were effected. Here were we live, all we had was rain, wind, and more rain for two straight days. So thankful that’s all we had. I’m happy that it’s over and appreciating all this sunshine we are having. ๐Ÿ™‚

Switching to a lighter topic….today’s post, which is an outfit of the day. It’s super simple that I ended up putting together last minute and ended up loving the mix of army green with the floral print. This darker green color has been my favorite color to wear lately. If I go out shopping I seem to gravitate toward that color. It’s just one of those perfect neutrals that I think pair great with soft patterns or even lighter pink shades.

I added a simple jean jacket to give this outfit some structure but still making this look real casual. I’m obsessed with this denim jacket from target, it’s a dark wash that’s stretchy and so easy to throw on over anything. As in my last outfit post I’m wearing the same taupe booties from Lucky Brand that I can’t enough of. They’re comfy, not to high of a heel, and match everything. I don’t normally splurge on a lot of things but once in a while finding a good pair of shoes are worth the money. ๐Ÿ™‚

Details of this look are all listed below with some similar floral tanks tops, ranging from $7.49 to $35.00. All affordable and great forย  layering in the summer and transitioning into the fall season.

Although we are in the middle of summer and in 100 degree weather, I still choose to wear black, go figure. What can I say, I am defiantly a neutrals kind of a girl. I think most of my closet consists of black, grey, khaki, and a little bit of white. Another thing I am a sucker for besides neutrals, is a fun graphic tee. I paired this t-shirt with ripped skinny jeans, and my most loved wedges. When it comes to finding fun graphic tees, there are so many cools styles out there. From band logos, geometric designs, to ripped up styles, and even fun sayings.ย  It’s a really great way to add something unique to any outfit. They go so well with ripped jeans, shorts, or even as a cool layering piece under a jacket for the colder months. They really go with just about everything.

Below are some graphic tees that I am obsessed with, all for $40 or under, (minus the Pink Floyd tee)

Outfit: Mommy on the Go + Pink Sneakers

Happy Wednesday! I hope you had a awesome 4th of July. For today’s post I wanted to quickly share an OOTD for all the mommy’s on the go. It’s a very simple look, perfect for running errands all while trying to entertain a toddler. One of my favorite things to do to amp up any simple outfit, is to add a vest. This one in particular, I love because of the khaki green color, it really serves as more of a neutral so it goes with everything. These pink sneakers are a brand new addition to my wardrobe and one that I have been wearing everyday. They’re super cute and super comfortable, which is key. I got them from target, and they are a perfect dupe for the Steve Madden pink sneakers. They also come in hunter green and white. ๐Ÿ™‚

This look I wore running errands with my little one, and it held up even when my daughter decided to throw a massive tantrum inside a store. I can’t count the times I was wearing something a little low cut or a little loose and then a meltdown happens. While your trying to pick your child up they’re pulling and tugging, and all of a sudden, you realize everyone in the store just saw your bra and/or underwear. :/ #momlife #keepinitreal

Below are the complete outfit details along with links to more pink sneakers.

4th of July Fashion Finds

Happy Monday!!

I wanted to pop in a do a quick shopping post for all of those who are feeling a little patriotic for this 4th of July. I can’t wait for yummy food, fun, and oh yes… fireworks. So in the patriotic spirit, I put together some of what I think are, the cutest summer pieces from Nordstrom.ย  These are all more casual and relaxed, and of course red, white, & blue. I like that most of these are a little more subtle and can still work for all the warmer months. I have my eye on the “fireworks” tee from Wildfox (which also comes in blue).

ย Your can never have to many pairs of shoes! Am I right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Shoe shopping is one of those sacred things we as women cherish, and when you find a good deal on a pair, it’s like hitting the mother load.:) So without further ado, here are a few deals on some shoe dupes (duplicates) that you are going to want to check out.

I put together some new styles that are very similar to each other, with both high and low price points. I actually just ordered myself the black booties at the top for the lesser price. They fit like a glove.:) Now I am eyeing those black high heels as well as the lace up ballet flats! ย I just need to figure out how and when I’d actually wear them. ๐Ÿ™‚
