Happy Wednesday!! Today’s post is all about summer accessories. I’m loving that summer is in full effect and it’s time for swimming, out door barbecue’s, and just soaking up the sun. So I wanted to create a fun list of some of my favorite picks for looking cute this summer. Continue reading “Summer Accessories”
Hello friends!! Today’s item is a black tank dress from the Nordstroms that I am obsessed with. I love how this outfit turned out with all the mix of different neutrals. Since I bought this dress online I was real worried about the fit but it fits true to size. It’s very figure flattering and sill simple enough to dress up or down. You could easily layer this in the winter time like I did here or add some fun heels for a night out. Definitely a new staple piece in my wardrobe.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I wanted to put together a few dressy casual looks that are perfect for however your celebrating this year. I used a lot of basics to keep these outfits simple but still interchangeable with a few pops of color. Because of the crazy weather we are having with the cold, wind and crazy humidity I had to do mirror outfit selfies for this one. It’s finally December and it’s still warm outside, well cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons. So I wanted to put together a kind of transitional outfit for this crazy weather we are having. To transition this look to the afternoon, just switch the boots for some comfy flats and lose the vest. This is one my favorite outfit combinations for fall, a long vest over a top with leggings and boots. I’m going to be honest the top is not as long as I would like, but I loved the color combination of the navy plaid with the gray vest. Like most of my looks this one is very simple, easy, and a perfect casual fall outfit. 🙂

It’s no secret I am a sucker for a good boot. Once the weather cools down I tend to live in mostly boots or booties for the rest of year. So for all the boot lovers out there, like myself, I put together a little guide featuring some great boot & bootie options that fit anybody’s budget. I know for me I love finding a really good deal so I tend to always shop sales, but on occasion it is fun to splurge on something that you know is made well and will last you a long time. So everything pictured above is linked below so you can check them out.
Let me know which one is your favorite or what your favorite accessory is for fall. I personally have my eye on the tan lace up boots with cheetah. 😉
As always thank you for stopping by and checking out my little corner of the internet.
I’m kicking out the start of a brand new week with a casual outfit of the day. Casual and comfortable I might add. I bought this navy jacket almost a month ago and I am just now getting around to wearing it. It’s finally cooling down here in central Texas, so I am ready to bust out my fall/winter wardrobe that’s been hiding in the back of my closet.
So for this look I paired this jacket with my favorite pair of ripped skinny jeans, a white tee, and some comfy grey boots. Keeping things neutral, I added silver jewelry to go with the cool tones in this outfit. I have to say I am completely obsessed with this jacket. It fits well, it’s flattering, and it’s light weight. I can tell I’ll be wearing this one a lot this season. 😉 To shop this look, check out the links below.

Happy Tuesday!! This has been one crazy week so far and it’s only Tuesday!! Right now everyone is sick in our household and we are trying to get back to normal from this crazy weekend. Still in shock over the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, and sending out many prayers for all those effected. I’m putting in a link here for the Red Cross if you are interested in donating to help those who were effected. Here were we live, all we had was rain, wind, and more rain for two straight days. So thankful that’s all we had. I’m happy that it’s over and appreciating all this sunshine we are having. 🙂
Switching to a lighter topic….today’s post, which is an outfit of the day. It’s super simple that I ended up putting together last minute and ended up loving the mix of army green with the floral print. This darker green color has been my favorite color to wear lately. If I go out shopping I seem to gravitate toward that color. It’s just one of those perfect neutrals that I think pair great with soft patterns or even lighter pink shades.
I added a simple jean jacket to give this outfit some structure but still making this look real casual. I’m obsessed with this denim jacket from target, it’s a dark wash that’s stretchy and so easy to throw on over anything. As in my last outfit post I’m wearing the same taupe booties from Lucky Brand that I can’t enough of. They’re comfy, not to high of a heel, and match everything. I don’t normally splurge on a lot of things but once in a while finding a good pair of shoes are worth the money. 🙂
Details of this look are all listed below with some similar floral tanks tops, ranging from $7.49 to $35.00. All affordable and great for layering in the summer and transitioning into the fall season.

Can I make the fall weather get here faster, by just wearing fall clothes? I’m just saying… It’s worth a shot, right? 🙂 I am so ready for this crazy hot weather to be over. Who’s with me? It’s been 100 degrees everyday, all day. So I’m trying to get into the fall spirit by putting together a simple fall look paired with, what I think are, must have pieces. One in particular, are these taupe booties from Lucky Brand that I am obsessed with. They are super comfortable and match just about everything, I defiantly recommend these. Another must have piece for fall are black jeggings. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with some stretchy black pants. I think we can all agree on that one. They are comfortable and they can be worn so many different ways.
The statement piece in this look has to be this denim vest. I love it!! It’s so fun and different than any other denim vest I have every seen. Oh, and did I mention it has pockets! I bought it a little while back from one of my new favorite stores Alter’d State and it has since been discontinued. 🙁 However, I did find some very similar looking options that you can go and check out below. I am a sucker for a good vest, which I think you can tell from my previous outfit posts. I have so many of them in my closet, it’s a bit of a problem. FYI, vests are a great way minimize a larger chest. When I hear the word “minimize,” trust me, I’m all over it. 🙂

Although we are in the middle of summer and in 100 degree weather, I still choose to wear black, go figure. What can I say, I am defiantly a neutrals kind of a girl. I think most of my closet consists of black, grey, khaki, and a little bit of white. Another thing I am a sucker for besides neutrals, is a fun graphic tee. I paired this t-shirt with ripped skinny jeans, and my most loved wedges. When it comes to finding fun graphic tees, there are so many cools styles out there. From band logos, geometric designs, to ripped up styles, and even fun sayings. It’s a really great way to add something unique to any outfit. They go so well with ripped jeans, shorts, or even as a cool layering piece under a jacket for the colder months. They really go with just about everything.
Below are some graphic tees that I am obsessed with, all for $40 or under, (minus the Pink Floyd tee)

Happy Wednesday! I hope you had a awesome 4th of July. For today’s post I wanted to quickly share an OOTD for all the mommy’s on the go. It’s a very simple look, perfect for running errands all while trying to entertain a toddler. One of my favorite things to do to amp up any simple outfit, is to add a vest. This one in particular, I love because of the khaki green color, it really serves as more of a neutral so it goes with everything. These pink sneakers are a brand new addition to my wardrobe and one that I have been wearing everyday. They’re super cute and super comfortable, which is key. I got them from target, and they are a perfect dupe for the Steve Madden pink sneakers. They also come in hunter green and white. 🙂
This look I wore running errands with my little one, and it held up even when my daughter decided to throw a massive tantrum inside a store. I can’t count the times I was wearing something a little low cut or a little loose and then a meltdown happens. While your trying to pick your child up they’re pulling and tugging, and all of a sudden, you realize everyone in the store just saw your bra and/or underwear. :/ #momlife #keepinitreal
