A Patriotic Treat

For today’s post I’m bringing you guys a yummy treat perfect for the 4th of July. It’s super easy and with only two days away, it’s a perfect recipe if your in a pinch and trying to figure out what to bring to the next family get together. With only 4 ingredients these treats couldn’t be easier and they are that perfect mixture of salty sweet that everyone will love. Plus people will think you put in a lot of effort when it really took no time at all.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

-Ritz crackers (I used two sleeves out of the family size box but you can use however many you want)

-1 bag of Rolos (share size)

– 1 bag of White chocolate chips

-Red, white & blue sprinkles

Tools needed: baking sheet, sauce pan with a heatproof bowl or double boiler, wax paper

First preheat your oven to 250 degrees. Next you need to place your Ritz crackers face down on the baking sheet. You will only need 1 sleeve or half the crackers you want to use, set the rest aside. Unwrap your Rolos and place one in the center of each cracker. Once your oven is preheated place your crackers and Rolos into the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.

Next, take out your baking sheet and then with the other set of crackers place one on top of the Rolo and press down making a little Rolo-Ritz sandwich. When your done making your little sandwiches let them harden or even place them in the frig so the chocolate cools completely before adding the topping.

For the topping part make sure your chocolate is completely cooled and wont mix when you dip them. On the stove top melt your white chocolate chips in a double boiler using water in the sauce pan or with a heat proof bowl.  Stir your chocolate occasionally until completely melted. Take your chocolate off the stove and it’s time to dip.

Go ahead and lay out your wax paper, then with each little cracker treat dip it into your melted chocolate about half way and set on top of the wax paper to cool. Once they all have been dipped into the white chocolate go ahead and sprinkle your festive sprinkles on top. Let them harden and then store them in a dry container. Enjoy!!

These are so good and perfect for a little treat after a barbecue or get together. Hope everyone has a fun and safe Independence day!! Happy 4th of July!
